1 // SET UP AN ACCOUNT
Open your internet browser and go to www.dropbox.com
You will be prompted to set up an account. Fill in your details and click Create an account.
2 // DOWNLOAD DROPBOX
You will be relocated to a page to let you know that dropbox is downloading to your computer. Go to the Downloads tab or folder in your finder window and double click on the DropboxInstaller.dmg file to run the dropbox Installer.
3 // WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Once Dropbox has loaded on to your computer, it will automatically set up two shortcuts for you. The first is in the top right hand corner of your screen;
The second is in your finder window;
If the shortcut doesn’t appear in your finder window, you can create a shortcut yourself;
1) In your finder window, go to the Application tab in your sidebar
2) Click on the dropbox application so it is highlighted in blue
3) Go to the menu bar at the top left hand side of the screen and click File 4) Scroll down and click the Add to Sidebar option
5) The shortcut should now appear in the sidebar of your finder window
4 // WAIT FOR AN INVITATION
When Images That Sell has completed working on your new files, we will load them in to dropbox.
You will receive an invitation e-mail from Dropbox. Click View Folder.
5 // DOWNLOAD YOUR FILES
This will open up your internet browser window, and redirect you to the dropbox website. Here you will be able to see the folders you have been invited to. Click Accept.
This will start to download the files in to your dropbox account.
6 // HAVE THEY SYNCED?
Have a look at the top right hand corner of your screen, at the dropbox icon.
If it looks like a box, your files have synced fully with your computer.
If it has a little wheel in the corner of the box, this means your files are still loading into dropbox.
Fully Synced Still Loading You can view your files through your finder window.
Click on the Dropbox menu item on the left to check which files have synced with your dropbox account.
7 // BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP
Save a copy of your files to your computer!
It is important to ensure you have a backup of the files on your computer in addition
to the Dropbox link we send you. We would recommend setting up an Images That Sell Photos folder
in your Pictures folder on your computer and copy all of the files to there.
NOTE: Copy and Paste the files. If you drag the files it removes them from dropbox entirely.
8 // GO TO TOWN
Now that all of the files are in your pictures folder, you can move them, re-name them, crop them, upload them to your website… go to town! Remember, only make these edits to the files in your pictures folder, NOT those on dropbox.
